"Gram had been feeling well and went to visit friends in Santa Barbara. They had been out to dinner and were on their way home in the car when she reached out, then fell back, dead. I'll never forget it!!!!" By "never forget it" Gail refers to the phone call her mother received about her grandmothers sudden death.
According to two obituaries, she worked at 2 newspapers, "Glendale News" in advertising and "Santa Barbara News-Press" in circulation.
