Mercy/Mary Eliza and her husband Nelson Barnes (1816-1884) a farmer, and family were living at Turman Township (Sullivan Co) Ind., at the taking of the 1850 census. Further information on this family was provided by Mrs Helen M. Drake (2220 North Fort Avenue, Springfield, MO. 65803) whose husband was descended from daughter Lucy Eliza Barnes. There seems to be four more children, that no dates or names are provided.
