CHARLES DEARBORN - RAILROAD ENGINEER
FOXBORO - Charles W. "Bud" Dearborn, 70, a retired railroad engineer,
died Wednesday in Ridgewood Court Nursing Home, Attleboro. He was the
husband of Mildred E. (Maloney) Dearborn.
Born in Stoneham, Nov. 26, 1917, he was the son of the late Charles R.
and Jennie (Robertson) Dearborn. He lived in Foxboro 33 years and was
formerly of Roslindale.
An engineer for 40 years, Dearborn had been employed by the Old Colony
Railroad, the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, Amtrak and
the Boston and Maine Railroad.
After retiring in 1984, he worked at the Foxborough Aubuchon Hardware
Store.
He was a member of St. Alban's Lodge, AF & AM, the Framingham Eagles,
and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Barbara J. Lycus and Janet
L. Hyland, both of Foxboro, a sister, Marguerite Ferguson of Arvada,
Colo.; and four grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 8:15 am Monday from the Roberts and
Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 am
in St. Mary's Church, Carpenter St. Burial will be in St. Joseph's
Cemetery, West Roxbury.
