| Kinship of Elva Lorene Matterson |
Elva Lorene Matterson, the first wife of Leonard Linley Dimon, died in childbirth in the early twentieth century. Her sister Mina continued, however, to compile family history for another four decades after her death. A copy of Mina's genealogical chart was entrusted to one of Lora's descendants. Another of Lora's descendants received the original genealogical notes, but those were probably destroyed in the 1980s. Hence, the information on this Web segment is drawn from the chart rather than from the original primary sources, except for recent Social Security death information and selected other notes compiled by the present author.
Additions, corrections, and elucidations welcomed; we are particularly interested in contact from living Matterson relations.
