As Frank's older brother Andrew Jackson CRAIN b.4-20-1842-IL died 4-22-1899, there is no Death Cert. available since Oregon did not require them prior to 1903, but many counties failed to enforce that Law and/or didn't file them with the State until some years later. I just checked the 1894-1942 Index to Prineville Funer Home and find reference to A J/Andy CRAINE(sic) with date of death 4-21-1899 and that he died age 57y 2d, so now I wonder whether his death was 4-21 or 4-22??? I'll have to ask Betty about this next time we write!!
