Dated April 15, 1843 James Crain Admin. of Cuthbert S. Crain Decd. VS Elizabeth Crain, Now Elizabeth McConnel, Moses McConnell, now husband of the said Elizabeth and Ephrain Bilderback. James also was that administrator of the estate of Cuthbert and bought items. James and his wife, Elizabeth sell their share of Benjamin's land to Cuthbert in 1842. Probate of Cuthbert has a note that states that a new administrator was chosen because James was deceased, note dated 1848. I think this James is the one who married Elizabeth Crain in Perry County in 1838. Also is his name James Henry Crain, which could explain Emri as the father of James FM, Henry and Emri sound alike to me. I have a court document now that names him as James S Crain, could be James Shelton Crain also probate document names him James H Crain. Think James FM was named after his father who would have died shortly before he was born.
