Individual:
Family siblings all have middle names except "Roy", However I noticed on
his Bible Marriage Cert. He signed Le Roy Hargreaves. Was Roy consideredhis middle name?
Roy was born the 5th of 7 children. His mother Maud/Maude passed away when he was 15 years old (1930). He quit school to support the family.His father Earl, had a drinking problem. He first real job was a caddy onthe East Liverpool Country Club golf course. He later enlisted in a CCCCamp.
Leroy "Roy" married "Helen" Brown in Nov.25, 1937 in West Virgina.
While in East Liverpool, Ohio he worked as a riviter on the Ohio River barges, drove city buses, worked as a mechanic at the Ford garage, aswell as drove the tow truck for the Ford garage.
In 1959 He, wife Helen and son Tom moved to California in the Riverside area. He worked as a maintance mechanic at Hunter Engineering on theAluminum presses. He retired in about 1982 due to heart problems.
Roy passed away in a resthome in Banning CA, USA at 9:44 PM. Five days prior to his and Helen's 65th Anniversity. He died from the final stagesof Altzhimers.

(BANNING, RIVERSIDE Co., CALIFORNIA ) Leroy Hargreaves, Born August 19, 1915 in East Liverpool, Ohio passed away.
He was the son of
Earl S. Hargreaves
&
Maude Brownsword Hargreaves
He attended Bloomington School and worked at the East liverpool County Club during his adolescent years. He later worked for the TreadmillConstruction Co., Pittsburgh Crucible Steel and Hayes Oil Co. and drove abus for the Beaver Valley Transit Co.
After moving to California, he worked for Alumax Aluminum until the time of his retirement.
He lived to celebrate his 64th Wedding anniversary with his wife, Helen "Viva" Brown Hargreaves, whom he married November 25, 1937
Besides his wife, he is survived by;
a daughter;
Irene Kay Long of Anaheim, California
a son;
Thomas L. Hargreaves of Banning, california
4 grandchildren
7 great-grandchildren
a brother;
Victor Hargreaves of Wellsville, Ohio
He was a former member of the Melody Land Church of Anaheim and the First Assembly of God of San Bernardino and had presently been attending theChurch of the Nazarene in Banning.
Services will be Monday at Green Acres Memorial Park and Mortuary, 11715 Cedar Ave. Bloomington, California 923216
